Man found guilty in Rockford home invasion

ROCKFORD – A Rockford man has been found guilty of home invasion and domestic battery in an incident that occurred last year.

Jason Randolph, 44, was convicted Wednesday after a jury trial in front of Judge Jennifer Clifford.

June 23, 2019, officers with the Rockford Police Department responded to a 911 call and spoke to woman who told them she had been battered. Randolph was developed as a suspect.

Home invasion is a Class X felony, punishable by six to 30 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections followed by three years of parole. Domestic battery is a Class 4 felony punishable by one to six years in prison.

Randolph is due back in court July 15. He’s currently lodged in the Winnebago County Jail.
