Man sentenced to prison in Roscoe sexual assault
ROCKFORD – A Roscoe man has been sentenced to prison in a sexual assault case.
Robert E. Guerrero, 25, was sentenced June 19 to eight years behind bars after being found guilty in February of one count of criminal sexual assault and three counts of domestic battery by.
Charges against Guerrero stem from an investigation by the Roscoe Police Department that a women had been battered and sexually assaulted inside a Roscoe apartment in March 2019. During the investigation, evidence was collected witnesses were interviewed and Guerrero was developed as the suspect.
Truth-in-sentencing applies; Guerrero is required to serve at least 85% of his sentence and register as a sex offender.
