Men arrested after foot chase through Sandy Hollow Golf Course
ROCKFORD — Two men are jail after leading police on a foot chase through Sandy Hollow Golf Course Tuesday morning.
Police say the situation unfolded at approximately 4:55 a.m., when officers responded to a domestic-related call about a man with a gun at a residence in the 2600 block of 19th Street.
Before police arrived on the scene, the suspect, later identified as 20-year-old Ladrail Montgomery, left the residence in what police have reported as a stolen vehicle.
“Rockford Police Public Information Director Michelle Marcomb said officers later stopped the vehicle, which was occupied by two people.
“After a brief foot pursuit through the Sandy Hollow Golf Course, the two occupants were taken into custody,” she said.
Montgomery, 20, of Rockford, is charged with unlawful restraint, domestic battery, aggravated feeling to elude, unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.
Victor Turner, 21, of Rockford, is charged with aggravated battery to a police officer and obstructing.
Both men are being held without bond.
