Music Academy to give pop-up performances on Sinnissippi bike path

​​​ROCKFORD — Runners, walkers and cyclists on the Sinnissippi recreation path will hear the sounds of live music Saturday, Sept. 12.

The Music Academy in Rockford will present pop-up performances on stages set up in the gazebos. One stage will be Nicholas Conservatory and Garden-Eclipse Lagoon Teahouse and another will be at the SwedishAmerican Riverfront YMCA.

Performances start at 2 p.m.

The event is free. Donations are welcome. The public is invited to stroll between gazebos or bring lawn chairs for family or single sitting while observing social distancing. Thermo Fisher Scientific is the event sponsor in partnership with the Rockford Area Arts Council, Rockford Park District and YMCA.
