Rockford man charged with child pornography
ROCKFORD — A grand jury has returned an indictment against a Rockford man for multiple counts of child pornography, Winnebago County State’s Attorney Marilyn Hite Ross announced Thursday.
Bryan Gilson, 35, is charged with 16 counts child pornography, allegations that stem from an investigation that began in January.
Hite Ross’s office says on Jan. 2, 2020, Illinois State Police were notified of potential download of sexual images of children. Gibson was arrested after being named as the person who allegedly downloaded the images.
Charges against Gilson are Class X and Class 3 felonies. He’s currently lodged in the Winnebago County Jail on a $100,000 bond. His first court date is Sept. 22.
