Rockford man charged with child pornography
ROCKFORD — A Rockford man was jailed Thursday, charged with child pornography after an investigation by the Illinois State Police.
Winnebago County State’s Attorney Marilyn Hite Ross’s office reported Friday that Daniel Grotheer, 35, is charged with three counts of child pornography after a search warrant was executed at his 6133 Garrett Lane apartment. The investigation began July 15.
Child pornography is a Class 2 Felony punishable by three to seven years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Grotheer was released from custody Thursday after posting a $4,000 bond. He is scheduled to be in court Oct. 22.
