Rockford City Hall closed to public beginning Friday, Nov. 20
ROCKFORD — In accordance with Illinois’ COVID-19 resurgence mitigations that begin Friday, Rockford City Hall will be closed to the public until further notice.
“In line with the new mitigations, we are limiting public access to City Hall after the close of business on Thursday, November 19. During the closure, operations at City Hall will continue,” the City of Rockford posted on its Facebook page Thursday.
To conduct business, citizens are encouraged to either utilize the city’s website or call 779-348-7300 for further direction.
“We will monitor our local COVID-19 metrics to determine a reopening date,” the post continued. “This closure is meant to protect our citizens and employees and minimize opportunities to spread COVID-19 in our community.”
