There is no age requirement. The financial assistance is paid directly to institutions for direct costs of tuition and textbooks.

Completed applications and supporting documents must be received by the Community Action office by 4:30 p.m., Monday, March 8. Selected candidates may be contacted for an interview.
With the 2020 Community Needs Assessment showing a gap in educational achievement based on race, diverse students are encouraged to apply. Scholarships are funded by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity through the Community Services Block Grant.
