65-year-old woman charged in gun incident at Rockford Walmart
ROCKFORD — A 65-year-old woman has been charged in connection with a gun incident that occurred at a Rockford Walmart last month.
Arnetter McClinton, of Rockford, is accused of aggravated discharge of a firearm and reckless discharge of a firearm, charges that stem from an argument that occurred Feb. 25, inside Walmart at 3902 W. Riverside Blvd.
Officers responded to the scene at around 9:30 p.m., and spoke to a woman who said she and her family were involved in a verbal confrontation with another woman, who police say is McClinton. Authorities allege that when the woman and her family exited the store, McClinton pulled up next to them and fired a single shot in their direction then drove away.
McClinton was located a short time later and taken into custody. She is currently free on bond. and due back in court April 6.
