SALEM, Mo. — A Missouri man is behind bars, accused of sexually assaulting three children in Rockford earlier this year.

According to the Rockford Police Department, Steven White, 28, of Salem, Missouri, was arrested Thursday, March 25, by Dent County Sheriff’s deputies.

Police say charges against White stem from a report made to the Rockford Police Department Feb. 10 that a child younger than 13 had been sexually assaulted in the 200 block of Alliance Avenue.

During their follow-up investigation, detectives identified two other victims, both younger than 13, and named White as a suspect.

White is charged with predatory sexual assault of a child, four counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a child, and two counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault of a child. He is currently lodged in the Dent County Jail.
