Rockford Police: Man robbed at knifepoint by teens

ROCKFORD–Rockford Police detectives are searching for two teens they say robbed a 58-year-old man at knifepoint.

Police say it happened at around 6:45 p.m., Wednesday, March 15, in the area of John Street and Ridge Avenue. The victim was confronted by two teen males. A struggle ensued; one of the suspects brandished a knife while the other removed belongings from the victim’s pockets. The teens then fled the area on foot.

The victim was treated for a minor sprain at a local hospital and released. A description of the suspects was not provided.
